JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Manager manages all activities related to the Division’s warehousing operations, ensuring that Division and Company objectives for efficiency, economy, quality and productivity are met or exceeded. This is a very visible role and ensures customer satisfaction by ensuring accurate orders are picked and there is strong inventory management.

PAY IS COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Plans, implements and monitors the day-to-day operations for the Division’s warehousing function, including analyzing operating data and reports, determining manpower needs and monitoring adherence to standards to ensure business plan objectives are met or exceeded. (25%)
Manages assigned staff, including involvement in the recruitment and selection process of new employees, assigning work, providing training and development, evaluating performance, and building a motivated, effective team to ensure that organizational goals for diversity, career development, productivity, performance management and employee involvement are met. (25%)
Periodically audits operational procedures and programs related to shipping and receiving and implements necessary improvements to achieve expectations for availability, storage, sanitation and security of inventory. (20%)
Develops, audits and controls department budget and ensures that operational costs are within plan. Manages the purchase and/or leasing and maintenance of all material handling equipment to achieve safety, longevity and efficiency objectives. (10%)
Ensures compliance with all customer, governmental and Company directives and policies and ensures the preparation and distribution of all relevant reports and quality analyses summaries. (10%)
Communicates with Division management and employees and provides relevant reports and analyses to ensure appropriate decision-making. Conducts analyses on special project assignments. (10%)
Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.
LEADERSHIP/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
Supervises, through subordinate management, approximately 50 to 70 employees, including hourly staff. Manages projects with significant financial and strategic impact. May manage various external vendors.
PERFORMANCE CATEGORIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:
Education/Certification:
Bachelors’ degree in business administration or related field from an accredited university or college or equivalent.
Experience:
7 years of progressively responsible experience in warehousing operations involving multi-temperature environment with receiving, inventory control and shipping and 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience.
JDA and JDE experience preferred.
