We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Supply Chain Manager to spearhead our supply chain initiatives. This pivotal role is essential for ensuring that our procurement processes are effectively managed and strategically aligned with our broader operational goals. The ideal candidate will focus on optimizing costs, upholding quality standards, and maintaining an efficient supply chain to support organizational growth and stability.

Responsibilities

This position is on-site, Monday - Friday. This is NOT a hybrid or remote position.

Supply Chain Management

  • Implement, and refine supply chain strategies that align with company goals, focusing on maximizing efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitor and manage expenses related to supply chain processes and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to handle disruptions effectively.
  • Leverage technology to improve supply chain operations, including EDI, System Integration, Automation, etc.

Procurement Management:

  • Lead the execution of ongoing purchasing activities within assigned areas, implementing effective sourcing strategies and ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Develop and oversee detailed communication plans, delineate responsibility assignments, and establish clear timelines for all procurement projects.
  • Craft and present compelling business cases and strategic sourcing plans to key leadership and management, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Utilize expertise in digital procurement tools for RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes to streamline and improve procurement operations.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analyses to ensure procurement activities are competitively priced and manage multiple supplier relationships to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives.

Supplier Management:

  • Design and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Scorecards to consistently monitor and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Lead supplier evaluation and negotiation processes, and organize quarterly supplier meetings to reinforce commitments and secure favorable terms.
  • Review and strategically refine procurement processes to enhance efficiency, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with both internal teams and external partners to support effective process implementations and promote operational scaling.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in strategic sourcing, commodities management, supplier qualification, negotiations, contracting, and supply management.
  • 5 years of experience in the packaging industry preferred, demonstrating industry-specific knowledge and expertise.
  • Proficient in Lean management, 6-sigma, and continuous improvements.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills, proven ability to develop strategic supplier relationships and achieve cost-effective results.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of effectively engaging and influencing a range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using digital procurement tools and a thorough understanding of RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing multiple projects and suppliers, ensuring high standards in cost efficiency, product quality, and timely delivery.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and spearheading process improvements.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% for supplier visits and industry events.

Compensation range

$80,000 - $120,000 is the expected range for this position. A bonus structure is on top of the base. The compensation range reflects the Company’s reasonable expectation at the time of posting. We consider a number of factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business needs.
