Supply Chain Lead will direct and coordinate aspects of the Supply Chain department and to assign daily work activities to staff. These activities may include replenishing warehouse inventory, labeling supplies, ordering supplies, distributing supplies to units or inventory locations (par locations), distribute equipment or replenishing specialty carts. These activities are to be conducted in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner for both on-site and off-site departments. The Lead will serve as the primary point of contact for the Supply Chain department when management staff is not present.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures that all PARs are replenished in a timely fashion
  • Sees that phone is being answered and customers responded to
  • Assigns lunches and breaks and provides for appropriate hand offs
  • Assigns daily tasks in a fair and efficient manner considering skill, experience and the needs of the hospital as well as accounting for workloads among staff
  • Makes efficient use of assigned staff to maximize productivity
  • Orients new team members to the department and facility under the direction of management
  • Effectively trains employees on the use of the Lawson Supply Chain system in accordance with policy and established procedures
  • Provides training to staff on other departmental procedures as necessary
  • Responsible for the completion of PAR inspections to validate quality – understocks, overstocks, missing labels, cleanliness, etc.
  • Verifies that orders are released and otherwise processed appropriately
  • Provides coaching for supply chain function errors under the direction of management.
  • Relays information and escalates issues to management as appropriate
  • Participates in handoffs between shifts and in other circumstances
  • Communicates supply issues, changes, etc. to Supply Chain staff and to clinical units as needed
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Degree or highest level of post-secondary education
  • 2+ Healthcare or inventory experience
  • Customer/Patient Focused

  • Pursuit of college/Associate’s degree
  • 5+ Healthcare or inventory experience
