Location: ONSITE Dallas Fort Worth Airport (
DFW) Airport

DFW Airport Headquarters, 2400 Aviation Dr, DFW Airport, TX 75261 (on site)

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8a - 5p

Pay: $59.66/hr. W2 (plus 8 paid holidays and 15 days PTO)


Job Description:

We are seeking a Sr. SQL Server DBA to lead multiple infrastructure planning and implementations, from a SQL Server Perspective, including but not limited to, instance strategy, technical platform selection, architecture design, backup and recovery strategy as well as replication options. The Sr. DBA needs to be able to help choose the most efficient and cost-effective solution for the following cloud options: IaaS, DBaaS, or a hybrid architecture.


Required Experience (5+ years):

  • 7+ years of SQL Server Administration experience in an enterprise environment with multiple database servers.
  • Experience supporting Logical DBA activities.
  • Experience with SaaS, IaaS and DBaaS.
  • Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
  • Experience with incident and problem queue management.
  • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
  • Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory.
  • Experience with scripting.
  • Experience in SSIS, SSRS, T-SQL.
  • Experience with IaaS and DBaaS.
  • Experience complex query tuning and schema refinement.


Airport Special Requirements:

  • Must obtain an Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et al., and DFW Airport's Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a badge upon each badge renewal.
