Overview:
The Senior Manager, Supply Chain is a part of the Blackhawk Direct-to-Consumer Supply Chain team and is responsible for building and managing a best in class, physical card program setup and order fulfillment supply chain team. This role will be for team and vendor performance KPIs as well as optimizing processes by driving improvements.
Responsibilities:
Manage and own relationships with external vendors
- Responsible for building and managing relationships with companies that supply products and services to Blackhawk Network.
- Ensures that vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations by delivering best in class quality and delivery of products and services.
- Acts as the liaison between external vendors and internal partners. Responsible for effective communication across both parties.
- Voice of Partner (VOP), build relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Engages directly with external clients as a vendor subject matter expert to drive and coordinate fulfillment solutions.
- Conduct RFP/RFI through leading suppliers in the industry.
Fulfillment and Program Setup
- Manage the integration of new vendor partners and fulfillment services for clients that deliver competitive advantages through streamlined operations.
- Lead the development of product and service solutions at vendors as well as internally, where appropriate.
- Track Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and develop action plans to meet targets.
- Active participation in vendor meetings as a day-to-day Supply Chain team representative.
- Support fulfillment service providers with forecasting.
- Escalation point for fulfillment issues and resolution.
Manage inventory of our products.
- Collaborate with Product On-Boarding teams to ensure successful implementations. Ensure we are set up and have adequate inventory and capacity.
- Review of Inventory; finished goods, card shells and paper collateral.
- Collaborate with Inventory Management for supply/demand.
- Follow up on open PO's as required per procurement processes.
Process Improvement
- Develop appropriate measurement, analysis, and reporting tools to support business objectives and continual improvement.
- Identify, plan, and implement improvements in the fulfillment process both internally and externally, while maintaining a customer service focus and with minimal disruption to the business. Coordinate and communicate progress on all initiatives.
- Drive implementation of key business opportunities requiring fulfillment solutions.
- Assign and follow up of all tactical issues including small issues and root cause / corrective action.
- Plan mid-term and long-term solutions for the goal of the fulfillment services.
- Manage special handling processes.
Reporting / Invoicing / Documentation
- Manage invoicing process, billing and cost tracking.
- Develop and maintain procedural documents relating to the fulfillment process.
- Ensure enterprise-wide needs for due diligence, risk assessment and continuing vendor monitoring are being accomplished.
- Monitor Contractual Agreements. Perform Contract Administration procedures to ensure that all changes to the contract are made in accordance with the base agreement and the interests of the company, and that an audit trail is maintained. Responsible for identifying, cataloging and monitoring requirements for reports, meetings, communications, decisions, analyses, etc. throughout the year and maintaining a calendar of contract activities.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university in business accounting, finance, Supply Chain or Operations related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in operational role, Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement.
- 10+ years of experience of KPI management in fulfillment operations.
- 2-3 years of experience preferred in a client facing role
Skills
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Strong working knowledge of PC-based business software, including QuickBase, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Strong excel skills including v-lookups and pivot tables required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Lead by example, with a can-do attitude in meeting critical deadlines
- Ability to work cross functionally
- Ability to build relationships
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain Operations
- Ability to review, understand or implement processes
- Substantial experience in SOX implementation, evaluating internal controls, and remediating deficiencies
Work Environment
- Ability to work productively in a hybrid work environment (both in office as well as from home)
- Occasional travel required, up to 20%
