The Sr. Manager, Continuous Improvement is responsible to deliver business results through leading improvement projects across Operations and related functions using best practice tools such as lean production, six sigma problem solving and other quality improvement tools. In addition, this role will facilitate teams focused on improvement needs as well as providing training in these tools to Bioventus employees.
What you'll be doing
  • Actively participate in operations, quality, supply chain, engineering, transactional flows, and transfer meeting forums to identify opportunities for improvement using CI toolset. Identify individuals and teams that could benefit from training/certification to improve business results and enhance career growth.
  • Responsible for the management and execution of projects falling within the operational areas noted above.
  • Provide direction and leadership on complex, high-impact initiations across all operations, quality, engineering, and supply chain processes.
  • Accountable for Project execution through use of Project Management Office toolkit and regular reporting of progress and results to appropriate management teams .
  • Provide and evaluate judgement based analysis of information, formulate improvement strategies and lead the development of a cost improvement roadmap for Bioventus.
  • Responsible for deploying Operational Excellence standards and training across Bioventus operations, quality, engineering, and supply chain functions.
  • Resolve cost, quality, performance issues by leading teams through the appropriate use of lean six sigma tools to ensure robust solutions are put in place.
  • Work with Operations to identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs and improve performance for the customer.
  • Ensure compliance is maintained for improvement projects, ensuring GMP requirements are met both pre and post execution of projects that impact validated state of production.
  • Responsible for financial governance on approved initiatives.
  • Work with vendors as needed to improve performance (cost, quality, delivery) of purchased products or services in conjunction with Supplier Quality and Procurement.
  • Develop and sustain improvements through robust Change Management practices such as control plans, updated procedures, training and other tools necessary to ensure consistent compliance and execution.
What you'll bring to the table
  • 10+ years of experience implementing lean and six sigma within medical device operations organizations, healthcare, and/or financial institutions. Certified by recognized organizations in Lean and Six Sigma tools.
  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Business, Management, Operations, Engineering or other relevant field
  • Demonstrated deep knowledge of continuous improvement tools include lean and six sigma concepts. Demonstrated success delivering world-class results and sustaining improvement as well as providing training to certify personnel in these tools.
