Responsibilities:
Serves as the functional expert for the organization’s HRIS and provides outstanding support to both external (leadership) and internal customers (HR). Ensures the data integrity and accuracy for all UltiPro HRIS transactions, procedures, report writing, and processes. Manages the day-to-day functional workflow including providing the HR department team members with training, as well as leading continuous process improvement initiatives. Evaluates, tests, and implements HRIS enhancements and upgrades as well as analyzes data and provides analytical reports to internal customers.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with IS to translate HR requirements into functional specifications; works with IS to ensure that systems are built or configured to meet HR needs in a timely manner.
  • Develops and maintains a high level of systems knowledge of HR technology utilized at Northside Hospital, including Ultipro and all applicable internal and external system interfaces, i.e. Netlearning, BCI database, Midas application, Staff Link, and to a lesser degree, Payroll, etc.
  • Coordinates and/or assists in leading HR technology enhancement projects.
  • Develops and conducts in-house HRIS training programs to end-users. Develops and maintain up-to-date end user training manuals and materials.
  • Establishes and maintains up-to-date HR technology documentation (standard operating procedures).
  • Seeks out new opportunities to promote HRIS functionality including providing various reporting capabilities to internal customers. Promotes use of and delivers appropriate training on manager and employee self service modules.
  • Assists in leveraging Business Intelligence technology.
  • Promotes proactive approaches using the HRIS to solve the organization’s needs/problems, while also enhancing the understanding and acceptance of the HRIS capabilities.
  • Works closely with IS in implementing new releases, conversions, and new HR modules.
  • Designs, writes, and executes reports from HRIS to meet specific needs of external and internal customers.
  • Performs detailed unit and integrated testing of all system changes, enhancements, patches, and upgrades.
  • Performs table maintenance and builds in HRIS.
  • Works with IS and other user-areas to help identify and design work flows; builds and maintains workflow functionality in HRIS.
  • Attends training, conferences, and user groups as assigned.
  • Maintains awareness of vendor plans and the potential planning impact of those plans on current and future HRIS functionality. When apprised, the Senior HRIS Analyst will review impending organization’s issues that will have a direct impact on the HRIS and provide management with an assessment of the HRIS impact.
  • Liaison with HRIS vendors, including obtaining information, resolving issues, etc.
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Computer or Systems Engineering with five years experience or equivalent combination of education, skills and experience.
  • Experience with any HR system a significant plus. Working knowledge of UltiPro and UltiWeb preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and email application required.
  • Experience with company Intranet sites and HR web page a plus.
  • Strong project management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary efforts. Requires ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users.
