Sr. HR Benefits Administrator (Workday) – Private Equity – Boston, MA

We are currently seeking candidates for a Sr. HR Benefits Administrator position located in Boston, MA 02111. The role is with an industry-leading private equity firm. The Benefits Administrator will report to the Director of HR and be responsible for monthly benefit audits, enrollments, and open enrollment. The administrator will provide coverage for employee inquiries and guidance on coverage details and claims procedures.

This is a 7+ month contract opportunity paying up to $70/hour (depending on experience level) within a 40 hour work week.


Responsibilities:
  • Manage employee benefits in Workday, including enrollment, changes, and daily transactions
  • Collaborate with vendors for accurate benefit processing.
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices
  • Research and recommend improvements to the benefits program
  • Assist in developing and implementing benefit policies
  • Conduct benefit audits and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Maintain benefit records and reports
  • Answer employee benefit questions with a positive and helpful attitude
  • Support open enrollment, plan changes, and new benefit implementations
  • Conduct regular audits of benefit carriers for active, retiree and COBRA benefit plans ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies
  • Reviewing 5500s for both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Plans
  • Possesses a good working knowledge base of federal regulations and SOX requirements (e.g. ACA, COBRA, HIPAA) and maintains compliance concerning benefits administration
  • Maintain and create records, reports, and documentation in accordance with federal, state, and provider regulations
  • Assists in other benefits projects such as open enrollment, plan changes or new plan implementation and change management plan

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree (REQUIRED)
  • 5-10+ years of relevant HR Benefits experience
  • 2+ years of Workday experience
  • Excellent understanding of federal benefit regulations (ACA, COBRA, HIPAA) and SOX requirements.
  • Strong systems skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
