Job Summary

This position reports to the Manager, Strategic Sourcing & EEO & Accessibility Programs and serves as the subject matter expert for the Company’s employment practices with a primary focus on EEO/Affirmative Action regulatory requirements.

This position requires an individual who is highly motivated and organized, possesses compliance or operational experience, process driven, demonstrates expert analytical skills, and can lead multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads the developments, implementations, and evaluations of EEO and affirmative action programs to ensure compliance with government legislation and organization goals. Develop and support Government compliance reporting (e.g., EEO-1, VETS 4212).
  • Leads process improvements to support strategies in affirmative action programs across the employee lifecycle, such as recruitment and performance management, to ensure fairness, consistency, and compliance with regulations.
  • Determines the efficiency and effectiveness of the EEO data system. Analyze data to proactively identify legal risk.
  • Analyze and recommends employment trend reports related to the utilization of the job market in employment practices.
  • Analyze and recommends improvements in recruitment and employee programs to ensure compliance with diversity/EEO goals and regulations.
  • Leads adverse impact analysis in a variety of areas including hiring, terminations, promotions, and compensation.
  • Serve as a dedicated point of contact for all employee and applicants’ disability related issues and questions including accommodations requests.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of relevant HR or business analyst experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 year’s relevant experience in HR or business administration
  • 4 years of HRIS, SAP and/or other large company HR system proficiency
  • Working experience as a data analyst or in a data analytics role
  • Functional / business knowledge in EEO/AA
  • Ability to effectively analyze and synthesize large amounts of complex data into relevant insights and present data in a comprehensible actionable format
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, MS-Excel, macros, vlookup, statistical tools.
  • Solutions driven mindset with acute attention to detail and sharp analytical skills
  • Demonstrable ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple tasks with commitment and willingness to see issues through to resolution
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Occasional travel to PSEG locations in NJ and Long Island

Desired

  • EEO/AA concepts, analytics and HRIS reporting
  • Direct experience working with OFCCP compliance reviews
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS software, familiarity with Success Factors.
  • Progressive understanding of HR measurements, workforce systems, and reporting processes
  • Utility/Construction industry experience and/or experience working with a Union workforce.
  • Valid Driver’s license
