The Senior Director of Talent Management will serve as the primary leader in guiding enterprise-wide talent practices across the global enterprise, including Stores, Supply Chain, Corporate Headquarters, Bangalore office in India, and international buying offices worldwide. This pivotal role encompasses crucial functions such as performance management, succession planning, organizational capability building and the associate engagement process. Serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and HR business partners, the Senior Director will make immediate and substantial impacts on both the associate population and the Company as a whole.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and delivery of performance management and talent development methods and processes, aligning them with our business objectives and values.
  • Performance Management Framework: Take overall responsibility for designing, developing, and delivering our organization's performance management framework, driving a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and manage stakeholders up to and including the C-suite, coordinating stakeholder engagement plans to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Partnership Development: Foster partnering relationships with senior executives throughout the organization, building credibility and trust to provide high-quality guidance and support.
  • Organizational Capability Building: Identify current and emerging business needs and prioritize development activities to build organizational capabilities, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Transformational Change Leadership: Lead the detailed design and delivery of substantial transformational change projects, driving acceptance of change and embedding the JCPenney culture and behaviors.
  • Standardization and Quality Assurance: Lead standardization activities to ensure workplace assessments meet internal quality standards, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Planning and Implementation: Lead the development and implementation of strategy for a significant area of responsibility, anticipating challenges and opportunities to drive organizational success.
Core Competencies & Accomplishments:
  • Strategic Visionary: Over 15 years of managerial experience interpreting strategy and policy to set and deliver objectives within medium to long time frames.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve extraordinary results.
  • Project Management Expertise: Proficiency in project management software and methodologies, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level of work experience, with a focus on Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
