The Supply Management Solutions leader will provide the tools, technologies and processes to support the execution of Global Supply Management day to day run the business programs while also developing innovative strategies for the future roadmap and strategic needs. The Supply Management Solutions leader will lead a team focused on innovation and customer service to provide solutions to the Global Supply Management cross-functional teams. The Supply Management Solutions Leader will spearhead the development and execution of business-critical supply assurance projects, inclusive of cross-functional team members across Global Supply Management. This position requires strong communication skills to influence functional leads across Global Supply Management to champion effective and durable solutions. This role is a key member of the Global Supply Management leadership team and will partner closely with other functional leaders to align business needs to Supply Management strategies.



A Day in the Life

§ Develop, prioritize and execute a Materials Supply Management roadmap for operational analytics, predictive modeling and insights.

§ Lead development and governance of global processes standards and technologies for Supply Management, including improvement.

§ Utilize key operational and transactional data to derive actionable insights that will improve operational performance. Make improvement recommendations (supported by data and metrics) to Executive Leadership Team

§ Oversee the creation of appropriate monitoring mechanisms to measure results against goals and provide insight into corrective actions or incremental opportunities within the framework of business reviews.

§ Proactively identifies and creates opportunities to embed insights, influence decision making across functional areas, efficient sharing and strategic adoption of best practices.

§ Evaluate and communicate to senior management trends and emerging issues affecting current business strategies and indicate new strategic opportunities.

§ Drive standard work practices and language by providing a common infrastructure design via the creation of technology solutions.

§ Provide vision, leadership and direction for the Supply Management Centers of Excellence including Contracts and e-Sourcing.

§ Evaluate, create and drive standard "best practice" processes and continuously improve/ leverage existing processes. Manage deployment and adoption of new processes and systems utilizing effective and efficient tools/ templates. Focal areas include processes that improve the following:

§ Ariba / RFx

§ Spend & Supplier Dashboards & Reporting

§ Commodity Market Reporting

§ Enable Global Supply Management project teams by establishing / providing metrics that drive the desired performance (both internal & external (ie scorecard).

§ Establish and continuously improve sourcing solution strategy.

§ Develop talent and manage performance. This includes individual development planning, mentoring, succession planning and creating a positive working environment that enables inclusion, high productivity and employee engagement.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

- Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of managerial experience , or advanced degree with a minimum 13 years prior relevant experience, minimum of 10 years of managerial experience

- Experience in negotiations and supplier relationship management

- Requires advanced management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across multiple functions.


Nice to Have

- BS/BA Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or Engineering

- Project Management and Six-Sigma Methodologies

- CPIM, CPSM, or C.P.M. Certification

- Experience with detailed cost models and financial analysis

- Knowledge of e-commerce initiatives

- Knowledge of FDA regulated industries

- Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

- Excellent communication skills

- Previous experience in a medical device industry

- Previous experience in leadership role within a multi-plant, matrix organization

- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative/integrative style of working to accomplish objective.

- Proven track record of building credible, reliable, customer focused sources of supply.

- Possesses a decisive goal oriented and priority focus approach.

- Views teamwork and cross functional partnership as a primary means to achieve objectives.

- Demonstrates strong business acumen and a bias for action.

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
