We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Aviation Maintenance Technician within our Aviation - Maintenance group based in Houston, Texas.

The primary responsibility of the Aircraft Maintenance Technician is to ensure that timely and appropriate maintenance is provided for all company aircraft, to ensure safe operations and compliance with all regulatory and company requirements. This includes all manufacturer-mandated repairs, as well as calendar and hourly maintenance requirements. Ability to keep aircraft and work areas at the highest standards. All duties are to be performed in accordance with regulatory and Occidental policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Promotes the Occidental safety culture while providing the highest level of customer service.
  • Conducts duties in compliance with all pertinent Federal Aviation Regulations, Certificate of Airworthiness requirements, Company policies and procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Perform aircraft inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, servicing, and fueling/defueling of company aircraft in accordance with all regulatory, manufacturer, and Occidental requirements.
  • Perform quality assurance duties as part of the company RII program.
  • Ensure that all discrepancies are properly documented, repaired or deferred per the MEL and that the aircraft is in airworthy condition prior to each flight.
  • Ensure that all mandatory service bulletins and airworthy directives in compliance.
  • Maintains CMP, the computerized maintenance tracking software program.
  • Act as an Occidental representative during service center maintenance events.
  • Ship, receive and inspect aircraft parts.
  • Perform launch and recovery actions for all company aircraft to include baggage loading in accordance with regulatory and Occidental requirements.
  • Maintains a high level of knowledge of the assigned type of aircraft, regulations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participates in department projects and ancillary duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Is discreet with sensitive or confidential company information.
  • Participates in department projects and ancillary duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Actively participate in the flight department’s Safety Management System.


Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license
  • Valid automobile driver’s license
  • Valid passport with no restrictions
  • Five years of aviation maintenance experience maintaining transport category turbojet aircraft in a FAA Part 91 operation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, in addition to CAMP/CMP maintenance tracking programs.

Relocation will not be provided.
