Jones Plastic & Engineering is looking for an experienced SQL Developer/ Database Administrator.
Primary Job Duties include:
- Develop advanced MS-SQL stored procedures and functions.
- Create, update and debug SSRS reports.
- Develop and manager Backup Recovery and Point in Time Recovery Strategies.
- Performance Tuning at Hardware Level, Database Level and MS-SQL Tuning.
- Automating Administration tasks and Database Maintenance Tasks.
- Crystal Reports development and maintenance.
- Extracting and transforming data between homogenous and heterogeneous systems using dynamic DTS packages, IMPORT/EXPORT, BULK Insert, BCP and XML Technologies.
- Developing DRS Packages and migrating DTS Packages to SSIS Packages.
- On-call responsibility.
- Limited Travel expected (less than 5%).
SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field.
- 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft SQL Server Administration (SQL 2019, 2008, 2005 DBA)
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- Expertise in SQL Server administration (including database optimization, database backups, replication to client servers, index and query plan maintenance, monitoring/resolving performance issues, analyzing logs and isolating issues, management of database log files, modifying system and database scripts as necessary, moving processes between drives)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills, including ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment using ERP preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
