POSITION: Software Testing Analyst
FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Full Time

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Software Testing Analyst is responsible for providing technical support to end-users and clinical staff using software and hardware within the scope of the software testing department, and assisting with development, validation, ongoing performance, and support of preproduction/production software and hardware as directed across all company applications and products as deemed necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one year of experience as software testing Analyst or customer support
  • Ability to work with the software development/engineering and Quality departments, regulatory consultants and clinical research auditors as required to achieve established goals
  • Develop a working knowledge of the company’s risk management SOP’s.
  • Take part in quality system processes as requested.
  • Experience testing web and Windows applications and services
  • Experience with customer/technical support

Preferred Education
  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a related area
  • Certifications in a related field
Preferred Experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills required. Must be able to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

Physical Demands
  • Requires normal visual acuity and hearing.
  • Typically, employees sit comfortably to do their work, interspersed by brief periods of standing, walking, bending, carrying papers and books, and extensive periods requiring the use of computer terminals to accomplish work objectives.
  • Required to sit and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard.
  • Additional skills may be required to perform additional task(s) specific to work location, department or line of business.

Working Conditions
  • Predominantly operates in an office environment. Some work (less than 5%) requires moving and lifting of heavy networking equipment.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Each Employee consistently demonstrates the following essential functions:
  • Resolve technical issues reported from users and/or other departments.
  • Responsible for Software and hardware testing, participation in managing task and bug tracking systems, writing/revising/executing all related documentation including software requirements and verifications, internal/external technical support, and participation in release scheduling and process.
  • Work with the Manager of Customer Support, senior engineering leaders, other junior and senior software testers, members of the development and/or IT team, and Quality to determine appropriate testing strategies and develop and maintain necessary documentation for regulatory purposes.
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with any patient information.
  • Demonstrate proficient time management and the ability to perform multiple tasks at one time.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.
  • Communicate concerns/issues to management in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Demonstrate gradual and persistent improvement in job performance quality.
  • Identify and strive to meet departmental goals, objectives and plans.
  • Work maturely and professionally as a team member in conjunction with other employees and hat ensure compliance to applicable regulations and standards
  • Work with the Quality department, regulatory consultants and auditors as required operation of the department and company.
  • Be aware of the contents of the Quality Policy
  • Work to ensure that processes and procedures are Implemented, maintained and performed in ways departments.
  • Attends and participates in departmental meetings. Attends seminars and training sessions necessary to maintain appropriate level of professional competence
  • Ensures all department compliance guidelines are met
  • Attends all meetings, in-services training, or continuing education as delegated by the supervisor
  • Provides customer focused interactions
  • Performs all duties necessary for the department as per department policies and procedures
Performs other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the supervisor within the scope of practice and the responsibilities in the department
