This Aircraft Maintenance Technician position is intended for Transitioning Service Members. SkillBridge candidates (who will be transitioning from active military duty this year, July 2023-June 2024) are strongly encouraged to apply.

ST Engineering is an Industry Partner of the Veterans Florida SkillBridge Program. The position will be located at the ST Engineering site in Pensacola, Florida at the Pensacola International Airport.

ST Engineering is seeking Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to join our Aircraft Maintenance Team in Pensacola, Florida.

This position requires good interpersonal skills, a good attitude, and a willingness to learn technical skills in an MRO environment.

The AMT is responsible for maintenance and repair of various customers’ aircraft under immediate supervision/direction upon receiving instructions as to methods, procedures, and desired end results.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Remove and replace various aircraft components with the use of special tooling and ground support equipment, based upon oral and written instructions such as supervisor’s directives and manuals to complete all routine and non-routine assignments in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and store various personal tools in a serviceable condition.
  • Adhere to safe maintenance practices and keep a clean work area at all times.
  • Maintain and supply personal records of work performed on OJT forms for the Technical Training.
  • Perform any work that may be assigned by his or her Crew Chief.
  • Maintain required monthly communication with Technical Training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Active transitioning member of the US Armed Services

Additional Information

  • Selected AMTs will be required to pass an FAA drug and alcohol screening and pass a background check.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires easy mobility around various sections of aircraft
  • Requires dexterity to remove/replace parts in a timely manner
  • Requires mental skills and quickness with the ability to cope with stress and intense effort or exertion usually caused by long working hours
  • Must have the capacity to gain knowledge by adhering for one’s own safety
  • Working environment requires standing 90% of the work day on hard surfaces
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to report to work regularly
