Job Summary:

Fourwide Transportation is currently hiring an experienced Service Shop Manager. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage and lead the service shop personnel, and be responsible for all semi-truck inspections, routine maintenance, and repairs for the entire over-the-road fleet. Must be willing to work full-time plus nights and weekends, if necessary. CDL license is preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand all systems in diesel semi-truck including but not limited to fuel system, battery, engine, drive train, onboard computer, transmission, air brake systems, A/C, and emissions system.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage and lead the service shop personnel, and be responsible for all semi-truck inspections, routine maintenance, and repairs for the entire over-the-road fleet.
  • Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures.
  • Effectively use diesel computer to troubleshoot engine problems of major OEMs.
  • Troubleshoot and provide repair procedures for any truck general faults or issues.
  • Oversee and train new diesel mechanic technicians.
  • Maintain professional communication with personnel and customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Manage and maintain service records.
  • Order parts and track all inventory
  • Receive and manage all road service calls
  • Communicate with vendors and take care of necessary paperwork. (e.g. Purchase orders, invoices, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 10 or more years of experience working with diesel engines particularly with semi-trucks.
  • Available to work nights and weekends if needed.
  • Must have all necessary small tools to perform the job.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively in English & Spanish.
  • Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 50 pounds).
  • Ability to read documents and/or information in English & Spanish.
  • Computer skills and/or comfortable working with a computer.
  • CDL Preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Experience:

  • Diesel Mechanic: 10 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
