Position Overview:

Human Bees is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist to join our team to specifically support a large client operation within the Medical Device Industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in California compliance and law. They will demonstrate proficiency in various levels of compliance programs and possess the ability to develop workflows, establish procedures, and provide document structure to support client operations.

Responsibilities:

California Compliance: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of California employment laws. Implement and ensure adherence to these laws within Human Bees operations to client.

Compliance Reporting: Develop, manage, and track compliance reports to support client HR department. Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting to meet compliance standards. For example:

  • Compliance Requirements: Maintain Affirmative Action plan, collect applicant data, clarify "Applicant" definition, and provide EEO/pay data as per CA law.
  • Employee Relations: Notify client of workplace complaints.
  • Leaves & Accommodations: Protected leave, accommodations, and approval reporting.
  • Policy Communication: Meal periods, COVID policies, sick leave, and attendance guidelines.

Documentation Creation: Prepare and create various documentation including contractor documentation, coaching materials, disciplinary reports etc. Maintain accurate and detailed records in accordance with internal and client regulatory requirements.

Contract Employee Management: Conduct coaching, mentoring, and disciplinary meetings with Human Bees contract employees. Handles employment-related inquiries regarding policies and procedures. Resolve problems effectively within a client operation consisting of 200-300 employees.

Investigations and Documentation: Conduct investigations into HR-related matters. Document findings and maintain meticulous records in compliance with regulations.

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with client HR department, including HR Managers, Directors, and Vice President. Conduct in-person, phone, and video meetings to ensure alignment on HR procedures, policies, and processes. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to support Human Bees' client operation and client HR teams while representing Human Bees accordingly.

Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with client operations professionals such as Directors of Operations, General Manager, and Vice President to ensure Human Bees HR functions is well aligned.

Team Collaboration: Work as part of the Human Bees team, collaborating with the Human Resources Director, Director of Account, and Onsite Representative to achieve collective goals. Attending internal weekly meetings and participating in the weekly internal organization meetings throughout the week when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in HR with a strong emphasis on compliance in California.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing environment with large workforce.
  • Ability to travel to client sites in both Sacramento and Bay Area locations when needed.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of California employment laws and internet compliance regulations.
  • Experience in developing general workflows and compliance reports.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to engage with various levels of management.
  • Proven ability to conduct investigations, maintain documentation, and resolve employee issues effectively.
  • Experience in collaborating with diverse teams and client HR departments.
  • Bonus:
  • Experience in FDA and Government compliance.
  • Experience with the Manufacturing or other blue collar fast pace environments such as logistic or construction environments
  • Experience working with a staffing, recruiting or human capital consulting agency.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
