POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr. HR business partner (HRBP) – Supply Chain position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The Sr. HRBP – Supply Chain is part of the Supply Chain Leadership team and serves as a functional expert on all HR related issues. The successful Sr. HRBP – Supply Chain acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, and develops and implements initiatives to address gaps. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the Sr. HRBP – Supply Chain seeks to develop integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the all functions to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The Sr. HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Develops HR related KPI’s, including Supply Chain related, and is accountable for meeting objectives.
- Develops and implements plans driving improvements in the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) with the Supply Chain Leadership team.
- Administers Employee Engagement Survey and works with employees and leaders in Supply Chain to develop and implement initiatives and action plans to drive for an engaging workforce in Supply Chain.
- Develops and implements plans to assure the Company remains union-free.
- Partners with the Zone HR team in talent attraction and retention effort for all Supply Chain exempt and non-exempt personnel and temporary staff; conducts new hire orientations and coordinate onboarding program; and writes and places job advertisements.
- Advises and supports the Supply Chain leadership team on developing career path, technical development and leadership development programs.
- Identifies training needs for local Supply Chain personnel and individual leader’s coaching needs.
- Participates in developing, maintaining, evaluating and monitoring training programs to ensure success. Maintains Supply Chain training and qualification database. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Advocates for Supply Chain within the Zone/Global HR function; understands, advocates for, and implements Zone/Global HR functional initiatives.
- Develops, maintains and monitors compliance of policies that assure a safe, equitable and compliant work environment.
- Maintains Supply Chain organization charts and the headcount reports.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention; provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Conducts periodic meetings with function heads to ensure proactive HR support is provided in a timely manner.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Manages and resolves employee relations issues; conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws & regulations related to day-to-day management of employees to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Reports, maintains and monitors all workers’ compensation case files and leave of absence cases; follows through all open claims and leaves.
- Support time & attendance, payroll and benefits administration for Supply Chain personnel.
- Administers various human resources policies and procedures and assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development or related discipline from an accredited 4-year university.
- Minimum of 5 years of being an exempt-level HR Business Partner in a supply chain, manufacturing, CPG or distribution center/warehouse environment.
- Proven successful records in driving cultural change in manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Certification in PHR or ability to obtain PHR certification within 1 year of employment is required
- Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience in multiple human resource disciplines, including training & development, workers’ compensation, leave of absence, recruitment, employment relations and investigation.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of HR legal compliance; maintain and expand knowledge and understanding of existing and proposed federal and state employment laws/regulations.
- Must have strong logical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be a self-starter, fast learner and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must have a can-do and learning attitude.
- Must be a collaborative, responsive and proactive team player; strong ownership and high integrity.
- Must be able to handle confidential information; attention to details is a must.
- Must be organized, able to prioritize tasks and handle multi-tasks in a fast work pace.
- Must be proficient in MS Office including Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Visio; ADP, PeopleSoft or other HRIS systems including running ad hoc reports.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) is required.
- Trilingual in English, Spanish and Chinese is a plus.
- Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills.
- Individual must be able to apply basic mathematical concepts to perform daily functions.
