SUMMARY:
JENOPTIK is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Auburn Hills Team. As a member of our team, the Senior Financial Analyst will support a business unit located within our Hommel-Etamic Division, USA and Mexico. We are seeking a self-starter with strong communication skills, and the desire to learn and grow within our organization. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in forecasting and general accounting. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
Prepare forecast for sales and order entry.
Prepare quarterly forecasts, annual and five-year plan: income statement, balance sheet, cash flow.
Provide commentary on financial results, investigate variances.
Prepare journal entries as assigned.
Perform GL account reconciliations in accordance with IFRS - research and resolve discrepancies.
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing functions.
Support compliance requirements including tax, internal and external audits.
Collaborate with internal departments to support business decision-making.
Prepare allocations and ensure costs are recorded to the correct functional area.
Assist with preparation and implementation of workflows and policies.
Utilize ERP system data to mine information and perform analysis.
Other duties as assigned. SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF,IF), Word, Teams, Outlook and ERP Systems
Ability to work quickly with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and aptitude to minimize reliance on error-prone manual processes
Professional judgement to assess and recommend solutions to issues
Discretion and integrity in business dealings
Time management and commitment to meet financial reporting and forecasting deadlines
Thrive on learning and suggesting new processes, systems, concepts, ideas, topics, etc.; and
Flexibility to be available outside of normal work hours to provide support on urgent matters REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent, CPA a plus
3-5 years of relevant experience, percentage of completion accounting a plus.
