Overview:
Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using hand tools and testing instruments to supply electrical power for lighting, equipment and machine operations.
Major Position Responsibilities:
- Inspects, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected.
- Uses a variety of tools and equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
- Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
- Replaces conduit, wiring and circuit breakers as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Vocational/Technical Training Degree or Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience is required.
- Electrician's License granted by the state.
- 3-5 years prior experience in similar position.
- Electrical Wiring Installation/ Install Electrical Services
- Reading Blueprints/diagrams
- Experience with Safety Inspections and Troubleshooting Electrical Codes.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
