Join our dynamic team as a Senior Database Administrator, where you’ll play a crucial role in managing the life cycle of complex databases and ensuring seamless integration with mission-critical systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating a robust and secure database environment, propelling our customer’s organization forward. The Senior Database Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex databases throughout their full lifecycle. This includes the development of Tables, Views, Stored Procedures, Indexes, Functions, Jobs, Rules, Roles, Replications, Clustering, and other database objects.

Key Responsibilities:*

  • Manage database interactions with mission-critical systems and maintain seamless integration.
  • Develop databases in alignment with the operating system, access methods, and optimize access times.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database replications.
  • Provide high-level technical expertise in database management systems.
  • Define file organization, indexing methods, and security protocols for specific user applications.
  • Conduct device allocation, validation checks, organization, and employ statistical methods.
  • Maintain database dictionaries and oversee database integration across systems.
  • Collaborate with Development and Engineering teams to facilitate effective database design and support.
  • Evaluate and recommend database management products and services.
  • Ensure adherence to database standards and contribute to quality assurance processes.
  • Participate in strategic and technical discussions at an interagency level regarding aviation security programs.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of FAA management systems such as DELPHI, PRISM, REGIS, and US Bank.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex security problems and propose resolutions.
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments, maintaining liaison relationships within the FAA and other agencies.
  • Experience in cloud computing technologies, database replication technologies, and high availability solutions.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Microsoft IIS Webserver, Linux-based technologies, and AWS or Microsoft Cloud solutions.

Minimum Experience:

  • 10+ years of technical experience with at least 5 years specialized in database administration

Minimum Education:

  • BA/BS in Technical, Engineering, or Management field. A Master’s degree can substitute for 4 years of experience.

Certifications/Other Requirements:

  • Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) certification required. Extensive experience in supporting MS SQL Server 2016, 2019, or later versions.
