Skills/Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Residential Roofing as an Office Manager, Sr. Project Manager, Superintendent, Production or Operations Manager
• Knowledge of how to perform the work of every position in the production department
• Experience with “boots on roofs”
• Highly proficient in Excel and in use of CRM software
• Passion for business growth
• Valid driver’s license

Overall Responsibilities

• Monitor all phases of construction – from contracts to assuring jobs are done with quality craftsmanship and products, on time and within budget
• Hire, train, and lead the production team
• Maintain safe work practices and a clean OSHA record
• Negotiate with material suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure best pricing
• Track and resolve all production related issues and warranty calls
• Maintain an above average amount of sub-contractors who are well-trained to the company’s craftsmanship and service standards and who are insurance compliant

Daily Responsibilities

• Lead with a supportive attitude and positivity throughout the day
• Create all material and work orders by job
• Schedule all material deliveries
• Schedule all installations
• Reconcile materials and labor at the end of jobs
• Ensure weather and other issues are being noted and communicate with homeowners
• Consistently communicate any updates or changes in materials or processes to everyone on the production team
• When talking with “happy customers,” professionally ask for a referral and review

The Production Manager will lead with vigor, integrity, and a razor-sharp focus to execute his/her duties with excellence. Being a multi-tasker, this individual will serve as the “checks and balances” liaison, between sales and production, providing critical and helpful feedback as needed. Whether it’s communicating changes in the dumpster service or materials that are no longer available and sharing what can be leveraged in its place – the Production Manager is essentially the Command Center.
