The responsibilities of the Retirement Plan Services Manager revolve around supporting retirement plan sponsors and participants, ensuring smooth operations. Below is a general overview of responsibilities:
Client Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for retirement plan clients.
- Assist clients with inquiries, concerns, and requests related to their retirement plans.
- Provide guidance on plan features, investment options, contributions, and distributions.
- Address client issues promptly and effectively to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
Plan Administration:
- Coordinate the setup and maintenance of retirement plans for clients.
- Be proactive with the new enrollment process and documentation related to plan enrollment, contributions, and distributions.
- Assist the plan sponsor with understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, such as IRS and Department of Labor regulations.
- Review plan documents and amendments to ensure knowledge of how each plan operates.
Financial Analysis:
- Analyze retirement plan data and financial reports to assess plan performance.
- Provide recommendations for optimizing plan features and investment options based on client objectives and market conditions.
- Assist clients in understanding investment performance and making informed decisions based on the Investment Policy Statement created for and endorsed by each client.
- Provide quarterly investment analysis and performance and report to plan sponsor.
- Coordinate all Investment and Plan Reviews, both in person and virtual.
- Prepare all materials related to these plan reviews. The frequency is determined for each client.
Education and Communication:
- Provide onsite service on a regular basis; frequency is determined for each plan. This service is designed for individual meetings with the TFB Associate and employees who wish to meet. Topics: review of plan highlights, investments, allocation education, enrollment. Proactively communicate our rollover assistance support.
- Conduct educational sessions or seminars for plan participants to increase their understanding of retirement planning.
- Communicate plan changes, updates, and deadlines to clients and plan participants effectively.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Selzer team to ensure consistency of education, service, operation, and compliance for seamless delivery to clients.
- Work closely with plan sponsors, investment advisors, and third-party administrators to address client needs and resolve issues.
Documentation and Reporting via Redtail CRM.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and communications.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing plan activity, performance, and compliance.
- Maintain retirement plan files to ensure enrollment guides, investment models and plan forms are current and available.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in retirement plan administration.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the retirement plan services department.
- Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in retirement planning and administration.

Qualifications:
* Associate degree and 2+ years of similar work experience, preferably in the financial services industry
* Securities Series licensed is a plus; 6 or 7 and 63
* Professional in demeanor and appearance, have excellent phone, writing and communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook as well as experience utilizing and maintaining a CRM system – Redtail Technology
* Candidates must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong problem solving, critical thinking, time management, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills
* The ability to handle multiple responsibilities and consistently follow high standards of business/professional ethics when dealing with others and performing work activities is mandatory
* Must be Dependable, self-motivated and personable
* A positive attitude, flexibility in daily activities and an ability to work independently or collaboratively are a must
* Ability to travel by car; mainly in the state of Missouri (travel reimbursement is provided based on standard mileage rates)
