This role is a full time (40 hours/week)

Tennis Warehouse and Running Warehouse are looking for a full-time Retail Store Manager who will be responsible for the successful operation of the store, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient staff management, and adherence to company policies and procedures. The Store Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining company and store standards along with maximizing store and employee performance.


Manager Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, supervise and develop store staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct personnel performance reviews to identify training needs and facilitate career development paths.
  • Address customer queries and complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate promotional activities and execute displays to enhance product visibility and drive sales.
  • Oversee merchandising strategies and maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demand while maximizing store performance.
  • Complete store and employee administration tasks accurately and on time, maintaining organized records.
  • Uphold outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards to create an inviting shopping environment.
  • Analyze buying trends and customer feedback to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Exercise confidentiality and a respect of employee privacy in all aspects of the job.

Customer Service

  • Greet customers and offer warm hospitality throughout their visit.
  • Provide thorough assistance to all customers in a friendly, professional, helpful and knowledgeable manner.
  • Display a comprehensive and current understanding of company policies, procedures, products and services.
  • Offer outstanding customer service, meeting customer needs and exceeding expectations whenever possible.
  • Be flexible during busy times by helping fellow co-workers and multi-tasking.

Employee Training and Development

  • Field questions and provide assistance to Retail Staff as necessary.
  • Administer skill and process training to Retail Staff as assigned by management.
  • Utilize provided training documents, tools, procedures, and programs, while also identifying any need for additional training materials or topics.

Racquet Service

  • Carefully and efficiently install string to racquet specifications.
  • Identify possible damage or defects to racquets and/or string and assess the necessary corrective actions.
  • Repair and/or replace accessories as needed.
Requirements:


  • Proven successful experience as a Retail Store Manager or equal role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on driving business performance.
  • Exceptional customer management abilities, with a dedication to delivering outstanding service.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, staff and stakeholders.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has direct supervisory responsibility over a team of retail staff.

Work Environment

This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with standing for prolonged periods of time. This role routinely uses office/retail equipment, such as computers, tablets, cash registers and telephones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to handle objects and type on a computer, use phones/tablets and computer software/cash registers to place customer orders and communicate with others to exchange information. The employee is frequently required to stand for prolonged periods of time and move about inside the building. Position may require standing for prolonged periods of time with use of hands/fingers while stringing racquets. The employee is sometimes required to sit, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb.


The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects that weigh less than 25 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move items that weigh between 25-50 pounds.
