Regional Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement

The RBS Regional Sr. Manager of the Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) for the Couplings Division in the Industrial Powertrain Solutions (IPS) segment will be responsible for the development, deployment, and evolution of RBS across a subset of designated locations in the division to drive short- and long-term strategic goals. There will be a focus on driving growth through RBS philosophy and tools while collaborating with key business leaders to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
Location: Florence KY
Travel: Willing to travel regionally up to 75% of the time to support the plants.
This role will make an immediate impact by:
  • Within the region, this position will support the organization with achieving SQDC (safety, quality, delivery, cost-competitiveness), through the effective application of the Regal Business System tools and methodologies, to allow the plant to drive top line revenue growth and bottom line profitability.
  • Driving a major cultural shift within the business and putting their stamp on the Regal Rexnord Business System for continuous improvement
  • Acting as a thought partner and collaborating on the architecture of RBS for the division
  • Coaching and mentoring division leaders on implementation of tools through operations and front-end commercial areas of the business
  • Being a catalyst for change where transformation progress is stalled
Key Responsibilities
  • Applying Regal Rexnord Business System tools and methodologies to achieve continuous improvement and SQDCG and business objectives
  • Coaching and mentoring designated division leaders on the Regal Rexnord Business System
  • Exemplifying the culture of Continuous Improvement across the organization
  • Facilitating impactful improvements across the business in alignment with strategic objectives and expectations from stakeholders
  • Assessing the readiness of the organization to grow, and prioritizing key initiatives to stabilize the foundation for scale
  • Improving the new product development process, increasing vitality in the new product pipeline
  • Assessing the current state of the growth business system infrastructure, inclusive of strategic planning, strategy deployment, quote-to-cash value stream, VoC (Voice of Customer) and segmentation
  • Collaborating with leadership to prioritize top level improvement priorities that position the organization for top quartile growth through priority initiative identification and execution, optimized across the SQDCG dimensions
  • Developing and communicating a future vision for the business
  • Analyzing business metrics, trends, and processes to develop improvement strategies
  • Utilizing a team-oriented structured problem-solving approach to analyze current conditions, diagnose problems, and identify improvement opportunities
  • Driving transformation in challenging areas
  • Training associates on Continuous Improvement methods, both in formalized settings and stop-and-teach at Gemba
  • Leading and coaching multiple Kaizen events simultaneously
  • Developing action items from a strategic vision; balancing strategic and tactical work while meeting business performance needs
  • Identifying future Lean talent and coaching on methodologies to support their professional advancement
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business, marketing or a technical discipline, MBA preferred
  • Master Black Belt in Lean/CI or equivalent experience in a lean business system
  • 5-10 years related work experience. Minimum 4 years of related work experience in progressively responsible leadership roles including those in Continuous Improvement, Sales and Marketing (Commercial), Product Line Management, Strategy and General Management with P&L responsibilities.
  • Experience with Lean transformation and rollout across multiple sites.
  • Experience with business strategy planning/development and facilitating Strategy Deployment
  • Strong business and financial acumen, engaging and dynamic leadership skills, and bias for action.
  • Ability to engage with all levels of the organization, including training of peers as well as executives.
  • Proven successful applications of multiple CI tools: 80/20, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, Flow, Standard Work, Visual Management, & Problem Solving.
  • Ability to lead and teach a site with a bias for action and a say-do mindset.
  • Team player that is always willing to coach.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; general computer skills and knowledge
  • Preferred experience in working with 80/20 Policy Deployment methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Deployment Experience.
  • Industrial Industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement/ RBS tools.
  • Experience in ETO business.
  • TPI experience (Customer Care, Engineering, Finance, Commercial, Product Management).

Regional Locations: Florence, KY, Auburn, AL, Michigan City, IN, Erie, PA, Milwaukee, WI, Lincoln, NE, San Marcos, TX, with opportunity for growth to other locations.
