Position Overview:

In this crucial role, you'll work under the expert guidance of both the Spirit Lake (IA) Site and Global Quality Managers to enhance and uphold our quality systems across the board. This position will have you championing the CAPA Process, Document Control, and Internal Audit programs, ensuring that our quality standards are nothing less than exceptional. You'll lead initiatives that directly impact product realization and contribute to continuous improvement efforts that are critical to our success. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, train, implement, and sustain global quality systems in collaboration with the Site and Global Quality Managers.
- Lead the Site Quality on CAPA Process, Document Management and Control, Control Plans, and the QMS Internal Audit program.
- Define and standardize Site Quality Main Processes and support the New Platform/Product Introduction Phases.
- Provide expert guidance and support on PFMEA and Process Control Plan development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and execute the QMS Internal Audit Program, defining its scope, frequency, and focus areas.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for quality processes and manage the organization of control plans for critical manufacturing processes.
- Support external audits and the quarterly Quality Management Review meetings.
- Manage documentation and record retention related to QMS activities including findings and corrective action plans.
- Directly supervise and develop a team of quality support personnel, establishing clear objectives and performance reviews.
- Implement and advocate for Standard Work Methodology to enhance manufacturing processes.

- Problem-Solving Skills: You are expected to utilize analytical and systematic approaches to foresee, manage, and resolve issues that arise in quality management. This includes the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
- Organizational Skills: You must be adept at managing multiple priorities simultaneously, keeping detailed records, and maintaining stringent controls over quality processes to meet internal and external standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Quality role within the Automotive or a related industry, with a preference for those with high-volume production experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge in Root Cause Analysis, Corrective & Preventative Action Systems, and Quality Control Plan (CP) and FMEA.
- Experience in Auditing as an Internal Process Auditor; readiness to be certified as a Lead Auditor within the first 6 months if not already certified.
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, Statistical Process Control (SPC), GD&T; knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 /TS 16949: 2009 standards is advantageous.
- Proven Lean Manufacturing knowledge.
