We design and manufacture innovative, sustainable packaging components for cold-chain shipping of food and pharmaceutical products. : Quality Manager

Supervisor’s Title: Director of Operations

Job Description:

TemperPack’s Quality Manager will develop, implement, and enforce ISO9001:2015 protocols, SOP’s including, but not limited to, those stipulated under our Quality Management System, as well as those stipulated in customer agreements. The incumbent will ultimately be responsible for ensuring that TemperPack meets the high standards of our life science customers.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage day to activities of all QA inspections and product releases
  • Follow SOP’s to comply with Qualification processes in Manufacturing and Lab
  • Train and communicate internal stakeholders the potential impact of QA activities
  • Match Lot Traceability, Batch records, and Certificate of Compliance process in compliance with cGMP’s
  • Audit daily inspection process
  • Direct investigations into all non-conformance, complaints, and internal findings. Ensure corrective/preventative actions are complete and validates as effective
  • Manage and communicate QA Key Process Indicators to ensure world class service to our customers and internal stakeholders
  • Lead initiatives to improve effectiveness, productivity, and compliance across departments

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong critical thinking and analysis skills
  • Ability to develop processes/specifications from conception to implementation
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications, proficiency in the use of Word and Excel are required

Experience:

  • Experience in manufacturing necessary
  • Experience with ISO9001:2015
  • Experience with QMS
  • 3 plus years of leadership/management experience
  • Four-year College Degree required. Preference for Business Management, Packaging Engineering, Engineering, and Science Fields

Physical Requirements:

  • Be on your feet for 8-12 hours
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted
  • Able to reach, bend, kneel and climb while performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work in hot and cold environments
  • Able to correctly wear PPE for entire shifts
  • Able to react and respond quickly to noises, smells, visual hazards, and alerts
