Konik is partnering with a local manufacturing company that is seeking to add a Quality Manager to their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer to lead the entire quality management process. A background in quality management within a manufacturing environment is required, someone with a background in printed circuit boards (PCBs) and micro-electronics, telemetry or communication systems would be ideal.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Making critical decisions to approve or reject raw materials based on stringent quality standards and performance benchmarks.
  • Spearheading the development of streamlined processes and procedures to guarantee the punctual delivery of flawless products to our valued customers, including comprehensive documentation.
  • Monitoring these processes and procedures to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues before they arise.
  • Addressing customer service concerns related to quality promptly and effectively, implementing necessary actions and protocols to resolve them.
  • Identifying technical root causes of problems and recommending effective corrective actions.
  • Collaborating closely with our factory team to understand how design choices impact manufacturability, fostering synergy between design and production.
  • Conducting regular job site inspections to swiftly rectify any safety hazards, prioritizing a secure work environment.
  • Thoroughly reviewing vendor SDS documents, adeptly interpreting toxicity limits, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols, including providing necessary training for substance handling.
  • Analyzing blueprints and instructions to discern precise quality criteria for both products and materials.
  • Participating in and facilitating OSHA and MSHA mandated training sessions to uphold safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Skills, Education Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related field, demonstrating a solid foundation in technical principles.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a relevant role, with a proven track record of excellence.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Past work experience or familiarity with electronics and printed circuit boards.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices, and methodologies, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in understanding the interplay between design decisions and manufacturability, optimizing processes for efficiency and quality.
