We are hiring for 2nd Shift Only

  • 2nd Shift 2:00PM - 10:30PM (.50 Shift Premium)

SUMMARY

We are looking for responsible Quality Control Team Members to check parts, packaging, labeling, and training for all new launch product and/or for any parts on containment. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards is essential. The goal is to ensure that our products are made of flawless materials with well-functioning equipment in order for our customers to receive high-quality parts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Inspect parts for any defects or abnormalities (Visual & with Gauges)
  • Record and report all parts inspected and findings.
  • Verify correct packaging, labeling and correct quantity in boxes/totes
  • Communicate findings to QM and Quality team
  • Assist with training as needed
  • Assist with Receiving inspection as needed

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and segregate acceptable and non-acceptable products
  • Record all findings accurately and communicate to Quality and Production team
  • Identify and report quality problems or trends in the assigned area
  • Provide input for recurring defects and recommending corrective action to solve a specific problem
  • May perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief to equalize deskwork periods, otherwise balance the workloads
  • Promote continuous improvement (Kaizen)
  • Contribute to training with operators to eliminate defects being found
  • Follow up with high scrap jobs to ensure communication is effective
  • Escalate issues related to parts or operators to Quality Manager

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Perform accurate and timely inspections in accordance with requirement
  • Complete all assignments within the established schedules
  • Advise the Quality Engineers and the Safe Launch Supervisor of any known problems related to quality
  • Perform work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and work instructions
  • Maintain accurate records of findings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years Experience in Quality at an Automotive Manufacturing Facility Preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all personnel

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees
  • Physically able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs
  • Able to stand and/or walk for extended periods
  • Able to use both hands

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
