Role Summary
The successful candidate for the position of Quality Inspector will possess the ability to support the activities listed below and be able to provide insights on how your past experiences contributed to connectivity with this role. This position is critical to the successful operation of the Devens Manufacturing Facility in that it contributes to a quality first culture in our pursuit toward a world-class operation.
What you’ll be doing
- This is position will be in a clean room environment 80-90% of the time.
- Complies with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety rules.
- Performs in-process inspections and makes notifications of inspection results as required.
- Completes validation of traveler and process documentation through quality inspection.
- Maintains and reviews accuracy of Quality documentation.
- Maintains documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Ensures conformance to Watson-Marlow Quality Management System.
- Utilizes measuring instruments with accuracy and care.
- Performing inspections at random to assess product quality.
- Maintains in-process inspection areas as required.
- Reviews and verifies requirements for packaging and labeling.
- Assists in resolving non-conforming material issues and support in root-cause and corrective actions.
- Assist with EHS Program and Internal Auditing Program and conduct training as required.
- Collects and Maintains data as to ensure effectiveness of Quality Management System
- Assist all members of the Quality team and support/backfill as needed.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.

- Must have a strong commitment to site excellence.
- Clean room experience is a plus
- Passion for continuous improvement and desire to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
- Performing inspections at random to assess product quality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, specifications.
- Strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with ISO standards and its application in the Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing environment is a plus
- Ability to properly use test and measurement equipment (i.e., calipers, micrometers, PI tape, coordinate measuring machine (CMM))
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds.
- Work overtime as required
