Umbra Cuscinetti, Inc., (UCI) is one of two U.S. bases for the Italian-owned UmbraGroup, a visionary operation revolutionizing motion solutions in aerospace, industrial and energy markets. The Role
The Quality Engineer II will be expected to play a major role in managing and implementing UCI’s Quality Management System, providing advanced to expert statistical focus on process improvements used in the manufacturing of product at UCI.
The Quality Engineer II will work with a team to coordinate the facility’s quality interactions and all quality related functions; develop management tools and strategies to ensure that UCI meets Customer, AS9100 and Nadcap expectations for quality compliance, certifications, and inter-company communication. Language, Math, and Reasoning Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as customer drawings, Quality documents, legal documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and Quality procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers or regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to management or coworkers.
Experienced with geometric measurement and dimensional tolerancing. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
Work Environment:
Mostly an office working environment, but the position involves a certain amount of time spent on the factory floor working in a manufacturing environment where the noise levels are low to moderate. Safety glasses and hearing protection are required.
