Position Summary:
The Quality Engineer will report to the Quality Manager and assist in creating, improving and maintaining quality systems as they relate to manufacturing needs and customer/dealer requirements.
Day in the Life:
- · Responsible for leading corrective and preventative actions for assigned commodities. Help develop supplier quality standards and rating measurement metrics, conduct supplier quality audits, and work with suppliers on root cause analyses, countermeasures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- · Provide direction to manufacturing, suppliers, and supporting departments regarding process improvements and effective countermeasure techniques for non-conforming goods and warrantable items.
- · Analyze warranty data looking for trends to improve KPIs and improve overall customer experience.
- · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- · Establish inspection processes, procedures and thresholds, including identification of appropriate measurement tools, frequency of measurement, recording of data, and creation of stand operating procedures.
- · Additional duties as assigned.
What you need to apply:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or 2+ years of experience in a comparable position.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, researching and multi-tasking skills.
- Technical experience and troubleshooting capability.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to visualize data and support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, acting with a sense of urgency to mitigate organizational risk.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage time with limited guidance.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience with PowerBi a plus.
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness in accordance with company safety policies.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
