Location: Saint Paul, MN

Wage: $30 - $45/hr.

Hours: 6 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Thursday, 6 am - 10 am, Friday

Duties of the quality engineer:

• Program Zeiss CMM with Calypso software for inspection purposes.
• Conduct PPAP, Gage R&R, and Capability Studies.
• Oversee First Article inspections.
• Communicate quality requirements to ensure compliance with the Quality Management System.
• Act as a customer advocate for QA-related issues.
• Troubleshoot QA issues as they arise.
• Conduct supplier audits and occasionally visit vendor sites to address supplier issues (minimal travel).
• Review nonconformity reports and oversee an ISO-compliant calibration program for inspection tools.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping of all inspections and quality-related activities.

Requirements of the quality engineer:

• Minimum 2 years of experience programming Zeiss CMM with Calypso.
• Strong understanding of PPAP, Gage R&R, and Capability Studies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precision.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve QA issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
• Strong recordkeeping and organizational skills.
