AWS/CES is looking for a Quality Engineer in Paris TN
The pay rate will be between $35 per hour to $45 per hour for day shift in Paris, TN, with the opportunity for temp-to-hire
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary plant quality liaison, collaborating with manufacturing and product engineering to support Quality initiatives.
- Investigate production, quality, and customer concerns using advanced problem-solving techniques.
- Coordinate the Product Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new programs, engineering changes, and process improvements.
- Collect and analyze data, identify root causes, recommend solutions, and support IATF documentation and procedures.
- Represent the Voice of the Customer, ensuring ultimate customer satisfaction and compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain and submit consolidated reports, monitor customer Quality-related websites, and support IATF16949 compliance.
- Provide backup support for the Quality Manager and perform other duties as directed.
Skills Required:
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Proficiency in Minitab or equivalent software
- Blueprint Reading, Specification Reading, and Measurements
- Capability studies, Gauge R&R studies, SPC, and GD&T
- Ability to follow instructions and perform job functions safely
Experience Required:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or Quality Engineering
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred, with automotive industry experience
- Strong knowledge of ISO/IATF-16949, Certified Internal Lead Auditor a plus
- Excellent people skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
- Self-directed, motivated individual with exceptional organizational skills.
