The Quality Engineer's primary responsibility is to assist Manufacturing in solving the product, process, and systemic problems that occur daily. This includes correcting drawings, specifications, and BOM Is as required to reflect manufactured product, review and approval of design change notices, generation of process specifications, procedure and instruction improvements, nonconforming and discrepant material review and disposition, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.

The Quality Engineer's secondary responsibility is to assure the quality of product used to manufacture clients products. This includes performing supplier evaluations (surveys and audits), reviewing and dispositioning nonconforming incoming material, implementing corrective and preventive actions with suppliers, and reviewing and approving incoming material inspection and test data.

The Quality Engineer's other responsibilities are to support the Quality Manager in assuring total product quality and maintaining the quality system. This includes reviewing and approving test data of the final product, creating acceptance data packages for completed product (when required by contract), generating product assurance plans, participating in design reviews, performing quality system, product, process, and follow up audits, assisting with customer audits, surveys, and due diligence requests, facilitating AS 9100 periodic audits, controlling and maintaining quality records pertaining to the Quality Assurance department, performing contract reviews, and performing statistical analyses as needed. Support implementation of 9115 and 9145 data processes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $74,540.53 - $89,769.24 per year
