Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join the Human Active Technology (HAT) team. As a Quality Engineer, you will focus on HAT’s Quality Management System and process associated with continuous improvement of the QMS and manufacturing processes. Help ensure the company continually improves, meets quality performance goals, and meets the customer’s expectations.
Job Functions:
- Analyze data re defects, customer concerns, incoming part failures, etc. to identify trends and act with a continuous improvement mindset to resolve.
- Track and analyze QMS KPI’s to measure performance of the QMA and communicate to the organization. Work with the leader of QA to drive actions to improve QMS performance.
- Review processes and procedures for compliance with the ISO 9001 specification and internal documentation.
- Investigate product field failures, coordinate rework/recall/RMA of products to ensure minimal disruption of customer operations. Lead investigations to determine root cause/corrective action and communicate results to the organization and customers accordingly.
- Ensure Quality has strong processes in place for final product inspections, incoming part inspections, in process inspections, material review board, identification and segregation of non-conforming product.
- Communicate issues to the organization to alert the HAT team of necessary problems that can impact performance of the organization or the customer.
- Conduct and lead training courses on documented procedures and work instructions.
- Generate and revise procedures to identify and standardize process were able.
- Perform Quality Audits for all aspects of our QMS and generate corrective actions for opportunities for improvement.
- Active Member of the ECN process team and contribute process standardization and improvement ideas.
- Support and facilitate use of Quality tools like FMEA, CAPA, Fishbone, Fault Tree Analytics, 8D, Lean, 5-Why, etc.
- Provide support of Quality or other functions as needed.
- Perform other assignments as assigned by the Director of Quality.
The successful candidate will have a BS in Mechanical, Industrial or Process Engineering coupled with at least 5 years of manufacturing experience and have a thorough understanding of the ISO 9001: 2015 CQA or QCE highly desired. Experience utilizing problem solving tools and quality assurance methodologies including Lean, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, etc.
