WHERE YOU FIT IN

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the sampling, testing, record-keeping, and maintenance of quality standards within the company. This includes coordinating with production and warehouse for inspections and sampling activities to ensure they are effectively performed and in compliance with internal, regulatory, and customer food safety and quality assurance expectations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Initiates product hold process when not in compliance with standards.
• Ensure compliance with all sanitation procedures, policies, and practices.
• Conducts routine swabbing of the processing environment.
• Identifies and resolves issues related to food safety and product quality.
• Completes metal detector testing of products and equipment testing.
• Proactively communicates and supports team.
• Monitors production personnel for GMP conformance.
• Completes calibration activities within the quality control.
• Assists with trace exercises of ingredients, packaging, and finished products.
• Maintains records including verification and validation.
• Supports team with internal and external audits.
• Conducts internal audits and food safety inspections.
• Maintains checklists, logs, and reports while correcting deficiencies as identified.
• Champions of safety, quality, and sanitation efforts.
• Stay current in knowledge, understanding, and awareness of requirements and processes.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• High School diploma or GED
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality or food science
• Food Manufacturing industry experience
• Understanding of quality control standards and methodologies

WHERE YOU’LL BE WORKING

This position will be based in our Elgin, IL manufacturing facility.

• 2nd shift schedule is 12pm-8:30pm
