Position Title: Quality Control Technician

Department: Quality

Directly Reports To: QC Manager / QC Supervisor

Job Summary

The Quality Control Technician serves as a resource to the production team(s) by verifying product quality, assuring quality standards/testing methods are met and followed, and helping establish a culture of quality throughout. He or she serves as a liaison between Quality and Production, in the day-to-day operation.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support safety, quality and production as needed by assisting the investigation of quality issues that arise during production or from customer feedback
  • Perform inspection and testing on in-process productions, R&D development, and/or customer complaints/returns
  • Help define and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Assist with corrective action implementation
  • Generate and organize proper quality documentation as required
  • Draft/create quality standards for future productions as requested by the QE/QM
  • Assure testing equipment is in working order and calibrated regularly
  • Support safety, quality and production as needed by assisting the investigation of quality issues that arise during production or from customer feedback
  • Maintain a safe working environment

Experience and Education

  • Previous quality control/assurance experience preferred
  • Proficiency in basic math
  • Basic understanding of Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • High School Diploma/GED
