Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour.
Shift: 40-hour work week; Monday through Friday.
Work Location: In Person.

Overview of the Role:
The purpose of this position is to assist Nassau Financial Federal Credit Union to live out its Service Mission, "Improving the financial well-being of each member and the communities we serve," by providing outstanding service to both Members and internal Members. In addition, this position is responsible for quality controlling the activities of the lending department for compliance with laws, regulations, and credit union policies and procedures. Prepares and submits reports on the results of audits, recommending improvements in policies and procedures.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- To deliver service consistent with our Service Promises.
- Effectively communicate with Internal and/or External Members, as needed to accomplish tasks.
- Maintain Quality Control logs of all loan documents reviewed with status and comments.
- All loan applications, regardless of product type, and other Member documents associated with the loan application, are to be reviewed for completeness, accuracy, legibility, and availability in the Meridian Link and core system. Ensure exceptions are logged in properly and timely into the Quality Control logs.
- Verification of all loan rates on loan documents compared to Rate Matrix.
- Ensure all applicable service events are entered in Synapsys.
- Compliance with the USA PATRIOT Act and OFAC regulations.
- Reviewew Indirect Membership applications for completion, accuracy, and eligibility.
- Review loan file maintenance reports for changes to rates, dates, overrides, etc.
- Review all loan files regardless of channel ensuring they are imaged and indexed within Synergy with 100% accuracy, legibility, and in accordance with our policies and procedures.
- Confirm all loan documents have transitioned from Synergy Capture to Synergy User Client.
- Work with Management to have Team Member(s) correct errors in a timely manner.
- Identify trends concerning recurring errors and recommend training as needed.
- Provides support to management regarding exception logs.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting to Management, including reports noting any exceptions to policy.
- Review and verify Tax Forms (Yearly) 1098 verification.
- Ensure all Debt Protection exceptions are posted.
- Audit mortgage loan files ensuring they are scanned with 100% accuracy and in accordance with our policies and procedures.
Credentials, Experience, and Skills:
- Job requires an Associate degree or comparable work experience.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer proficiency skills with emphasis on knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Well-organized, efficient self-starter with strong attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and in groups.
