The Quality Control/Quality Assurance and Sourcing Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the quality inspection of Twenty Four 7 Global Solutions’ products prior to the shipment to any customer, and assists in the procurement of inventory. The position reports to the Director of Operations.

Job Description:
● Staff Management and workload tracking: Oversees QA inspection team and ensures all open tasks, timelines are managed, tracked and completed on time.
● Product Specifications: Responsible for the creation of all new, and the updating of existing, product specifications. These specifications will be used by Twenty Four 7’s vendors to mark, label and package products correctly. They will also be used by Third Party Inspection services overseas to make sure our products are being made per specification.
● Product Barcodes: Responsible for the creation of barcodes that will be used for all Twenty Four 7 products. Must create barcodes in the GS1 system and BarTender programs as needed.
● Quality Control: Schedule all Third Party Inspectors (3PI’s) for the quality control review of our products overseas. These inspections will be conducted prior to shipment. Must review all of the 3PI’s reports to determine whether items were made to our specifications and can be released for shipment.
Communicate all quality issues with the respective product buyers so that corrective actions may be taken.
● Quality Assurance: Once a product has been received in a Twenty Four 7 Global Solutions warehouse, this position is responsible for a random sampling to make sure that the QC process was done thoroughly and correctly by the 3PI. All required and needed reports for this process need to be completed in a timely manner so that the item may be received into inventory.
● Quality Issues: Should there ever be an issue with one of our products, this position is responsible for working with the Account Manager and the Customer Service Manager, and the customer-end user to find a resolution and corrective action for the problem.
● Lab Testing of Products: Certain customers will require that various lab tests and evaluations be conducted on our products by outside services. This position is responsible for scheduling the tests and evaluating and archiving the results.
● Product Evaluation: When a new source for a product has been identified, this position is responsible for making sure the product and packaging specifications match exactly to the previous supplier, creating a seamless transition.
● Factory Evaluation: When a new manufacturing source, or Factory, for a product has been identified, this position is responsible for evaluating the capabilities and processes of the potential supplier to ensure that quality products are manufactured and delivered in a timely manner.
● Sourcing Assistance: Assist as needed in the planning and procurement of inventory. Follow up on purchase orders placed with overseas manufacturers.
● Finding the Location of Items: Users can easily locate items within the warehouse by scanning barcodes or entering item codes using RF Guns. The system swiftly provides information about the item's current location, facilitating efficient picking and replenishment processes.
● Understanding the Concept of a Warehouse Management System: A WMS is a software solution designed to streamline and optimize warehouse operations. It encompasses various functionalities such as inventory management, order processing, and logistics tracking. By centralizing these tasks, it enhances inventory accuracy, improves workflow efficiency, and enables better decision-making.
● Moving Items from One Location to Another: The WMS enables users to initiate and track the movement of items from one location to another within the warehouse. Whether it's transferring stock between aisles, zones, or different warehouses, the system ensures seamless item tracking and accurate inventory management.
● Cycle Counts on Handheld Devices: Warehouse personnel can perform regular inventory audits and cycle counts using handheld devices integrated with the WMS. This allows for real-time updates of inventory levels, helps identify discrepancies, and ensures inventory accuracy without disrupting ongoing operations.
● Audit Orders: The WMS facilitates the auditing of orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with established protocols. It enables users to cross-reference order details against inventory records, verify order completeness and correctness, and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Additional Responsibilities
● Product Repairs: Work with outside metal fabricators and contractors that will be used to repair or correct any damaged or off-specification merchandise. The projects are to have competitive estimates and on-time completion and delivery.
● Packaging Corrective Actions: When products come that are mis-packaged or labeled, this position is responsible for arranging temporary labor to correct the problems, and to make sure that the responsible factories are charged back for the expense.
● Physical Inventory Counts: Must participate as needed for scheduled warehouse inventories.● Position Cross Training and Backup: In addition to the above responsibilities, this position will be cross trained to assist on an as needed basis to act as a backup for Customer Service as well as Logistics.
