General Purpose of Job: Ensure that all Vinegars and Mustards being produced meet Quality Control Requirements and Specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactive, action oriented and self-directed work style, results oriented.
- Develops and maintains QA procedures and conducts QC testing on a timely basis to ensure that product specifications are met. Chemical and physical tests as directed by management.
- Continually enhances product testing protocol to build Database on product quality and increased knowledge of product/packaging performance.
- Manages/investigates customer complaints.
- Develops necessary Quality Control forms.
- Develops plant quality and sanitation procedures and protocol.
- Enforces plant GMP’s.
- Maintains laboratory supplies and equipment. Daily calibration of Lab scales and test equipment.
- Responsible for overseeing and maintaining Food Safety and Food Quality
- Perform and oversee all Q.C. functions, including initial tests on all products and ingredients before accepting.
- To check and inspect all incoming ingredients.
- To perform all line checks and inspections including visual, temp., volume, weight, coding, vacuum and sensory.
- Responsible for all sampling for lab testing, including retain samples.
- Responsible for all recording of various testing results.
- Responsible for inventory control of raw materials used in production and for daily usage.
- Responsible for all material and finished products shipped.
- Responsible for immediately identifying non-conforming product or equipment to their supervisor at any step of the operation.
- Inspects equipment for condition and proper operation.
- Inspects plant environment for food safety compliance.
- Reviews daily Production and Quality Reports, develops and implements corrective action plan if needed. Reports deficiencies immediately to management.
- Provide Customers and Salesman with product specification and related information as needed.
- Assists with mock recalls/ recalls/ ingredient trace activities.
- Responsible for Product Hold & Releases.
- Participate in Monthly Internal audits (inspections).
- Responsible for Food Safety, Food Quality and SQF program requirements.
- SQF Practitioner helpful.
- Responsible for all HALAL, Kosher and Organic programs.
- Daily review of HACCP Critical Control Point records.
- HACCP Duties as assigned.
- HACCP trained.
- HACCP Team member.
- Position is covered by Lab Tech.
Education/Experience:
- Candidates must have at least a Bachelor of Science Degree in one of the following fields: Food Sciences, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Candidate should have at least 5 years on the job experience as a QC Manager.
- Proficient in NetSuite (by Oracle) extremely helpful.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
