Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented QC Inspector to join our team at Pittsburgh Laser Cutting. The QC Inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy. Responsibilities:

• Perform visual inspections of sheet metal components to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
• Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy of parts.
• Conduct thorough inspections of surface finishes, welds, and other critical features according to established procedures.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities.
• Identify and report any non-conforming parts or discrepancies to production personnel for corrective action.
• Assist in troubleshooting quality issues and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with production team members to address quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes.
• Operate and maintain Faro or Hexagon CMM arms proficiently for dimensional inspection tasks.
• Participate in internal audits and quality improvement initiatives as required.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and developments in quality control practices.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred.
• Proven experience in quality control inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and quality standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
• Experience operating Faro or Hexagon CMM arms for dimensional inspection tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or discrepancies accurately.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation purposes.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing requirements and technologies.
