This position is responsible for performing gaging, testing, and process/product audits, per plant and customer requirements.

Essential Functions:

• Evaluate and disposition nonconforming materials in collaboration with the Quality Engineer.
• Complete internal process and product audits, as scheduled.
• Measure components/products to verify conformance to specifications using measuring equipment such as callipers, micrometres, part specific gages, etc.
• Daily report of activities; delivery of replacement parts to customer plants and perform incoming inspection, as required.
• Record and retain supplier issues in the company’s quality system, initiating supplier returns as required.
• Perform other required testing procedures.
• Support the comprehensive continuous (CI) improvement philosophy for all YFAI disciplines. Participate in CI activities (e.g., process, nonconforming material, separating and recycling of nonconforming material) and activities designed to reduce the cost of poor quality (i.e. Kaizen, cross-functional task force teams, etc.).
• Containment and sorting activities, as applicable.
• Communicate quality-related information to Production Supervisors, Materials personnel, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Managers.
• All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

High School Graduate or Equivalent
1-3 Years of Experience within the manufacturing industry.
Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which may require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
