Job Description Summary
As a Non-Destructive Test Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of gas turbine components through the application of Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, and other Non-Destructive Testing methods. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, interpreting complex specifications and drawings, and performing product audits to meet industry standards.
Duties:
- Perform Ultrasonic, Eddy Current, and other Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspection methods on gas turbine components, assemblies, and fabrications.
- Utilize standard and specialized Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) equipment for inspections, interpreting complex specifications and drawings.
- Transport and position components manually and with cranes, jibs, and other lifting devices to accomplish assigned objectives.
- Perform product audits and inspections of gas turbine components, parts, and assemblies.
- Execute other related duties and assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous Level I Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) experience is desired.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and accurately describe and evaluate defects noted during inspection.
- Must successfully complete Level II certification requirements, including classroom work and relevancy exams.
- Familiarity with gas turbine components and relevant industry standards is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Physical ability to transport and position components manually and with lifting devices.
- Must meet medical/physical Quality Assurance Operator requirements.
- Ability to work 2nd shift (3PM - 11PM) or 3rd shift 11PM - 7AM), with or without reasonable accommodation.
Quality Assurance Operator (Y) Ultrasonic
Pay Rate: The pay for this position is $31.482 -32.626. This position is also eligible for shift premium when you work on an off shift i.e., 2nd or 3rd shift. Plus $1.00 USD an hour on top of base pay. This posting is expected to close on June 17th, 2024.
