Key job responsibilities
  • Develop detailed test plans and cases for new and existing ad formats and initiatives across Prime Video platforms, with an emphasis on automation potential.
  • Collaborate with product management and development teams to understand and integrate requirements, ensuring test plans are comprehensive and tailored for our needs.
  • Utilize Java/JavaScript to design, develop, and maintain automation scripts, enhancing test efficiency and coverage. This includes leveraging an IDE for rapid script development and testing.
  • Execute both manual and automated test cases, prioritizing automation for repetitive and critical test scenarios to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Employ systematic approaches to identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools. Collaborate with developers for bug resolution, ensuring fixes are verified and regressions are automated for future testing.
  • Analyze and report on quality metrics, using data to drive decisions and improve product quality and testing processes.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend new testing tools and frameworks, particularly those that enhance testing capabilities.
  • Ensure seamless communication across teams, advocating for quality and testability. This involves engaging in design and code reviews, with a keen eye on aspects relevant to test development and automation.
  • Lead efforts to refine and enhance QA methodologies, incorporating lessons learned from project retrospectives and industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough testing to ensure that ad products perform seamlessly across diverse platforms and devices, leveraging automation for consistency and coverage.
About the team
The Prime Video Ads QA team is newly funded team in Q4 2024, it is a centralized QA team to provide testing support for all new ad formats, ad initiatives/experiments. We recently launched ads in Prime Video across supported clients (iOS, Android, FireTV, 3PLR, Web) in US, CA, UK, DE/AT, FR, IT and ES marketplaces.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Austin, TX, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

  • Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
  • Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $91,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
