What Application Development & Maintenance contributes to Cardinal Health
Information Technology oversees the effective development, delivery, and operation of computing and information services. This function anticipates, plans, and delivers Information Technology solutions and strategies that enable operations and drive business value.

Application Development & Maintenance performs configuration or coding to develop, enhance and sustain the organization's software systems in a cross-functional team environment through adherence to established design control processes and good engineering practices. This job family programs and configures end user applications, systems, databases and websites to achieve the organization's internal needs and externally-facing business needs. Application Development & Maintenance partners with business leaders, investigates user needs and conducts regular assessments, maintenance and enhancements of existing applications.

This position is apart of our 3PL (Third Party Logistics) Business unit, and our Client Implementations Team. 3PL is one of the fastest growing businesses with Cardinal Health. 3PL focuses on assisting manufacturers get their products to market quickly. The 3PL business manages order to cash for over 200+ manufacturers and is expected to grow by 35 clients annually. The Client Implementations Team (CIT) is responsible for IT setups for newly onboarding manufacturers and collaborating with multiple business units and third parties as needed. The team is also responsible for Samples Management integrations, ERP Integrations, data feeds, unit acceptance testing, and run support for projects supporting 3PL clients.

Responsibilities

  • Establish processes and procedures to manage CIT test environment(s) and data
  • Ensure requirements are adequately tested following a risk-based approach.
  • Develop and maintain CSV deliverables including requirements specifications, test scripts, summary reports, and trace matrices.
  • Participate in requirement gathering sessions with clients, 3PL business and 3PL Build/CIT teams.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure requirements are defined in a clear, testable and compliant format.
  • Maintain change control documentation to ensure ongoing validation system.
  • Provide technical expertise to 3PL Build/CIT team members in computer system validation, applicable regulations, and other quality system requirements.
  • Manage Validation testing cycles and resolution of issues and enhancement requests.
  • Leads efforts in establishing performance and quality criteria.
  • Create and run quality tests based on appropriate protocols.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts and support staff on projects.
  • Responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of the project testing, including estimating IT efforts.
  • Support 3PL IT Build and CIT teams as needed in validation activities.
  • Monitors work and ensures work is done in conjunction with project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 4-8 years of experience in quality assurance is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow preferred.
  • General knowledge of ITIL processes and software development cycle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred.

Anticipated salary range: $92,100- $131,600
