We are currently seeking a Compliance Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and certifications.


Job Description:


In the role of Quality Assurance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the adherence of our HVAC equipment to regulatory standards and certifications. Working closely with the engineering department, your responsibilities will include maintaining technical files, coordinating regulatory agency projects, and facilitating audits. Your expertise will be integral in reviewing product and manufacturing changes to ensure compliance with relevant standards. Additionally, you will oversee the scheduling of onsite testing, manage service contracts for tag machines, and maintain accurate documentation.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the engineering department to ensure accurate labeling on listed equipment.
  • Maintain UL, CSA, QPS, Intertek technical files in coordination with the engineering team.
  • Facilitate the procurement process by requesting quotes and purchase orders for regulatory agency projects.
  • Provide support during regulatory agency audits and onsite testing.
  • Review product and manufacturing changes for compliance with applicable standards.
  • Uses experience and education to perform the types of activities which are generally considered within the realm of North American HVAC and hazardous locations standards, certification and regulatory compliance to all internal, US and other international requirements
  • Works on projects of varied scope and complexity
  • Gather technical information and certificates for listing reports.
  • Assist in scheduling designer activities to meet package release deadlines.
  • Coordinate Regulatory onsite testing and provide design for electric heat test ducts as required.
  • Issue and update approval, construction, and instruction manual packages.
  • Manage tag machine service contracts and oversee routine maintenance.
  • Create nameplates or tags as needed and review all engraved nameplates.
  • Maintain an updated EC list.
  • Must have clear and concise command of the English language


Required Skills:


  • In-depth understanding of codes and standards relevant to air conditioning and HVAC equipment in hazardous environments.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical products and systems.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as UL, CSA, IEC, and ATEX.
  • Experience with software tools including Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Compliance Competency (UL, CSA, IEC, ATEX, etc.)


Work Experience and Education Required:


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working at or with a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL).
  • College degree in a relevant field.
