JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our agile software development team which is focused on rapidly designing, developing, and delivering high-quality digital solutions to improve our Customer’s and Employee’s experience throughout the home financing lifecycle.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plan, write and execute automated/manual test cases/test scenarios based on user stories for an AGILE team.
  • Document defects in TFS tracking system and execute appropriate tests on corrected defects.
  • Work independently with AGILE teams and other technical groups to communicate and resolve project issues.
  • Test all functional requirements for the AGILE teams including but not limited to Database validation/mapping, APIs, XML, Business Event triggers and familiarity with Loan Data Web Services.
  • Design manual and/or Automation test cases/test scenarios to evaluate each software product based on user story requirements and functional aspects of the software specifications.
  • Thoroughly document any defects in functional aspects of the integration testing scenarios with clear and concise repeatable steps including screenshots, and sign off on all resolved defects redeployed
  • Provide Lead Review and final approval with complete and thorough documentation of all related user stories
  • Participate in any full end-to-end integration testing for larger projects that are cross team functionally related
  • Continuous personal/professional growth in related field
  • Train new team members into the SIT QA role
  • Participate as a QA Lead to your AGILE team
  • Create documentation for the SIT QA Testing Team including helping with Standards, testing various functions of the technical side of SIT
REQURIED EDUCATION
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Information Systems related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • CTFL – Certified Tester Foundation Level from ASTQB.
  • TTAC – Certified Technical Test Analyst from ASTQB preferred.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
  • 11+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience manual testing on both web based, and SOA based applications.
  • 2years Test Automation a plus.
  • Understanding and experience with all types of testing including functional, regression, system, integration, destructive and smoke testing.
  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including the ability to create SQL queries.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and have the technical curiosity to seek root cause of complex issues between multiple software applications.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in communicating information to project team members and different levels of management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to express technical concepts in business terms.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills and the Agile process.
  • Ability to work with multiple systems and learn complex business processes quickly.
  • Experience with multi browser testing and mobile testing a must.
  • Experience with Mortgage concepts a plus.
  • Strong work ethic and integrity.
  • Experience testing web sites in the API a plus.
  • Experience testing Cloud projects a plus.
  • Functional testing experiences a plus with Database validation/mapping, APIs, Business Events, XML
Salary Range: $100,000 to $112,000 annually depending upon experience.
This position is also eligible for an annual bonus based on the successful completion of defined performance objectives.
