Critical Job Functions:
As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products, with particular focus on our in-house desktop and mobile applications. Your primary responsibility will involve developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and working closely with the development team to delivery high quality software to our business units.
- Develop, document, and maintain detailed software test plans and test cases.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into test scenarios.
- Perform comprehensive testing of our applications to validate their functionality, performance and reliability.
- Perform exploratory manual and automated tests, analyze results, and work with the development team to address defects.
- Conduct thorough testing of mobile applications across various platforms including iOS and Android.
- Maintain testing result metrics and provide regular reports on progress, defects, and other relevant information.
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer in an Agile environment. (NOT REQUIRED FOR INTERNAL CANDIDATES)
- Computer Science or other related degree. (NOT REQUIRED FOR INTERNAL CANDIDATES)
- Strong understanding of software testing practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Experience using Postman, RestAssured, JMeter, or other API testing software.
- Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or other work management software.
- Ability to engage and communicate with leadership team.
- Ability to work in a fully remote environment.
- Certification in Agile methodologies and testing a plus.
- Experience with automated API and performance testing a plus.
- Knowledge of LTL and transportation industry a plus.
- Detailed oriented and analytical.
- Excellent communication skills and ability collaborate with different teams.
Compensation: $65,000 to $80,000; depending on experience and skillset.
