Job Title: Purchasing Manager

Location: Plymouth, MN

Type: Direct Hire, Full time

Pay: $80K - $100K Starting wage is based upon experience.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Job Description:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to optimize procurement processes
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships
- Manage supplier performance and conduct regular supplier evaluations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate supply
- Oversee the procurement process from requisition to payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management

What we are looking for in you:
REQUIRED:

-Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role related to manufacturing and production; preferably for a company in the metal stamping industry.

-Experience in purchasing aluminum and steel in coil and sheet forms for production.

PREFERRED:

- Strong knowledge of supplier management, contract negotiation, and procurement processes
- Experience with Microsoft Office and other ERP systems
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and solve problems effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Leadership and team management experience
